You can make oatmeal porridge with raisins for breakfast. This simple, affordable dish can be made for adults and children alike, topped with honey, nuts, fruit, etc.

How to cook diet oatmeal with raisins

Ingredients:

  1. Oat flakes – 5 tbsp.
  2. Water – 0.4 pints.
  3. Raisins – 0.4 oz.

To prepare oatmeal porridge you will need three main ingredients: oatmeal, water, raisins. It is better to take long-cooked oat flakes, which cook time from 10-12 minutes. Raisins are better to take seedless, dark – it has more useful substances.

Step 2

First, the oat flakes should be calcined in a dry frying pan, stirring them constantly, for about 2 minutes.

This simple action will rid the porridge of mucus, flakes will be more solid, elastic, but soft.

Raisins rinse well in warm water. If you use other dried fruits, such as apricots or prunes, pour boiling water over them and leave for about 10 minutes.

When the water boils again, cook porridge for 2-3 minutes, then pour the washed raisins, stir and cook porridge until tender, stirring occasionally.

Under the porridge, turn off the heat, cover the pot with a lid and let it stand for another 2-3 minutes.

Ready oatmeal can be served with honey, but the sweetness of raisins is enough. You can also add a piece of butter to the hot porridge to make it more fragrant and tender. Once again, you can add other dried fruits to the porridge: apricots, dried cherries, dates, prunes, exotic dried fruits such as mango, papaya, melon, etc. It is very good to sprinkle the porridge with chopped nuts: hazelnuts, cashews, almonds, walnuts.
