Smoothies are a great way to provide the body with essential vitamins, minerals and fiber. The drink will increase the body’s immunity, especially during the cold season. Although we usually make smoothies in the hot summer days, the drink is especially useful for maintaining health and vitality in the fall or spring. Try making a tasty, immunity boosting tropical smoothie.

  • Cooking Time: 10 minutes
  • Number of servings: 2 servings
  • Calories (1 serving): 240 kcal

Ingredients:

  • 2 oranges
  • 1 banana
  • 1 mango
  • 0.8 inch piece of ginger
  • 1 cup water (or plain yogurt)
  • 3.5 ounces of fresh spinach
Smoothies

There are a large number of recipes for making smoothies. You can add any ingredients to the drink to taste. Try a combination of orange, mango, banana, and spinach. The tropical fruits are complemented by the distinct flavor of ginger, which is very healthy. Ginger improves digestion, lowers blood sugar levels, has anti-inflammatory properties, saturates the body with antioxidants and eases menstrual pain.

If you want to add protein to a healthy, immunity boosting tropical smoothie and achieve a creamy consistency, use plain yogurt (Greek yogurt is best) instead of water.

Cooking:

  1. Peel, wash and cut the fruit into small pieces.
  2. Rinse spinach well under running water.
  3. Blend all ingredients with water or yogurt in a blender until smooth.
  4. It is better to drink the smoothie immediately after preparation.
